Source of truth for launch scope.

URL conventions

  • Lowercase and hyphenated. No numeric suffixes (-2, -8), no state/SEO suffixes (-mi).
  • One canonical URL per destination. Every menu reads from a single source.
  • Keep existing product and category URLs wherever they're already clean, to limit redirects.
  • Attribute archives (pa_*) are noindexed and left out of the sitemap.

Category & attribute cleanup

  1. Move marketing bullets (pa_bullet_1–13) into the product short description or a product field.
  2. Merge near-duplicate attributes: plant_size/plant-size, pot_size/pot-size, planter_size/planter-size.
  3. Keep the attributes that drive filters, such as size, light and zone. The final list depends on the audit.
  4. Flatten or merge thin categories, using product counts from the audit.
  5. Confirm the WebToffee field mapping after every attribute change.

Proposed category tree

857 categories → 48 (11 departments, 37 subcategories). Finer detail (bulb type, pot size, season) becomes filters. Every current category's new home: Audit → Product categories. Pending EG review.
